Ri-24E
I have multiple variants of this aircraft (based completely off the F-14) with different wing sizes. My C and D variants were the fastest, with a max speed of over 1200mph.

Ri-61-IIIA, based off of the Ki-61 Hien. Previous variants were bulkier and had a stronger engine, but this variant had the best handling and appearance. The Ri-61-III had wings more forward-mounted, and provided more lift.

Ri-9M2 mod 22. Based entirely off of the Zero, the aircraft was intended to be a replacement for the first variant of the Ri-61. The first variant, that is. While the Ri-61 family has a much larger range over the Ri-9 family, the Ri-9 family features higher speeds and maneuverability. The mod 22 included two pylons for 50lbs bombs.

Ri-7B. Based entirely off of the Starfighter, the Ri-7 project was started in order to create an aircraft to exceed 1,000mph. In a level flight, the Ri-7B achieves speeds of over 1,100mph, and over 1,200mph in a dive. The Ri-7B is different from the first variant because of the change in control surfaces and intake positions, which ultimately improved maneuverability, handling, and imposed less drag.

The Ri-2B, based off of the F-4 Phantom. The Ri-2 project was a project to create the first jet-powered aircraft. Because of insufficient knowledge at the time, many projects to create an aircraft powered by jet engine had failed. The Ri-2 family was the design that finally made the cut. For the B variant, maneuverability is decent, thrust-to-weight ratio is the second best of what I have in inventory, and overall, the range is decent. The B variant has changes in control surfaces and engine type; two "boosters" were added to provide extra thrust.

Is the game worth buying?

If you're a creative aircraft enthusiast that likes to make original designs, then yes.
