Just snapped a lot of bots out of existence. I thought it was a lot worse but like, there was... A lot less spam than I had anticipated.

Also, hi.

News / A Brief Q&A of Development and Phanotek
« on: November 26, 2017, 07:58:57 PM »
Roughly two days ago, I sent the developer quite the email. As with every in-progress game that has a player base, players here have always sought for more answers and transparency. While Wings of Duty is the most recent of concern, many users still wonder about when the older games will return and the likes. Hopefully this provides you all with a bit of clarity in those matters. I know a certain few people who will be looking forward to the upcoming years!

Recently me and some of the more senior community members were discussing some things regarding the forums and the Phanotek games. I can't recall who first brought it up, but we started talking about way back when Gunship III first came around and all those memories.

At some point my curiosity was driven, and I couldn't help but take a look at a more recent Q&A thread for Wings of Duty, and it provided quite a bit of information people were glad to see. However, why not learn about the rest of your work?

I know there are a lot of members that'd enjoy learning more details about the company, their projects, and more about yourself. Especially us older users, the few of us who have managed to stick around since 2013-- Four years.

Thanks for being with the game from the beginning. The company started in 2011 with the first helicopter combat game “Gunship3D", you still could find many videos of Gunship3D from the internet. At the time, the company name is Phanovatives. Gunship3D later involved to Gunship-II in 2012 and later Gunship-III and Gunship-III multiplayer in 2013. Until 2013, our capability is still very limited, the UI of Gunship-III is very primitive and basic, even though the  game physics is more advanced.

We started Wings Of Duty: WW2 at the end of 2014, with a goal of developing a more long-term product in order to secure our financial future. In 2015, Phanovatives became Phanotek Inc. The plan is developing Wings Of Duty to become a platform for all future products.

It's been asked before but never really happened in the past, but would you be up to it? Perhaps even a verbal session as well in a discord channel, or perhaps some kind of office tour or something of the sort with your team. I think the community would love to see some more transparency with how you do things.

It’s hard for us to do that since currently, we are still having very limited resources, especially time; however, that could change in 2018, we will allocate some resources to build the main Phanotek website, website, and will integrate the forum to become more attractive and informative. We are also planning expand the company, and will have more resources for provide on more transparency into our works.

Oh, and of course there are still many questions on when the Vietnam, Korea, and other era series games will come about. I know me and the senior members are interested heavily in Vietnam and Korea-- We practically watched them evolve into what they are now, and what they could be in the future based off Wings of Duty.

In 2018, you will see the new Korea II game developed from the Wings Of Duty platform. From 2019-2020, WOD Modern Jet will come out with more advanced graphics and gameplay together with reintroducing Gunship IV on the new game platform. 2018, WOD:WW2 will have new maps, tanks and battleships.

Now, I'll be honest and say I haven't really touched Wings of Duty of the older games in awhile myself. My trusty IPad 2 finally can't reliably handle the latest versions of WoD-- And we thought Korea would have been the stopping point! I plan to work something out to better help with things. The other senior members seem to not really be interested in WoD, and for numerous reasons I'd hope to discuss with you on a separate note. I guess we preferred the 'older days!’

Thanks for being with us and being very supportive, Phanotek is a very young and small company which still has many room to growth. You will see improvements in product quality and contents  while still maintains it core original quality which is advanced simulation air combat on mobile device.

Phillip Phan

Founder and CEO of Phanotek Inc.

For those of you who'd have comments or questions for the developer, please direct to them to my private inbox on the forum or my email. This way they can be neatly organized and answered within free time.

Otherwise, keep a civil discussion here! Let's keep it clean.

Side note: The members I've mostly been referencing are those that haveve stuck around since the early versions of Gunship III Vietnam and even Gunship II. I've discussed things with them before the discussion shown here, hence why further discussing may take place. Stay tuned!

Off-Topics / Regarding 355th Squadron Thread Removal
« on: November 06, 2017, 01:15:01 AM »
Due to the inappropriate acts of NUMEROUS users...

One user has been permanently banned from the forums.
The squadron threads, both, of the 355th fighter squadron have been removed.
At least twenty post today were removed in the past hour, numbering up to maybe a hundred at least in total over time. This is just related to 355th members or their acts.

If you wish to PROPERLY repost the squadron thread, and play in accordance to the rules of the forum and the games associated with it, them you may do so. HOWEVER, should ANY member of this squadron continue to act in the name of the squadron when it comes to harassment...

Then you will be punished as a squadron. That means if whoever is the 'leader' (Literally no clue) goes and says the entire squadron hates someone, and you guys start hating on someone, then the ENTIRE squadron will be banned from the forum.

This also goes for ALL members: Harassment in any way is not tolerated. You should have the basic human capability to IGNORE a negative post towards you. If you really want to do something back to the attacker, then report it. Otherwise, you're going to be banned with them. It's time to stop.

Killer Eagle, this goes to you too. It goes to EVERYONE. No more of this petty drama. If you can't do the least and take it elsewhere, then it's time to take a break from the forums. Nobody here wants to see this junk.

Due to technical issues I couldn't access the forums. I come back to ten reports. Six of which were related to the issues mentioned here. Six. In less than two days, SIX issues reported on these members. Some of the post had MULTIPLE members reporting them.

It's uncalled for. It's time to stop.

News / Reactivity
« on: August 29, 2017, 06:10:53 PM »
Greetings. First of all, allow me to sincerely apologize for being seldom active than I normally would be. In the recent past I've moved homes, been sick, and generally busy. Those of you on steam may think "But they're on all the time!". However, that is my account and not me as the user. At least, not the majority of the time.

Regardless, my schedule is opened up again. I'll get on daily if not multiple times a day to check the forums. I've done responses to everything reported the few times I've gotten on here and there, including just now with SHEDLETSKY.

Allow me to remind you all: Simply because I may seem inactive does not mean I am not. There are plenty of vacation tickets for all those that wish to break the rules.

If you so dare to break the rules but have a change of heart and make an "apology," then actually clean up your mistakes and be sincere. SHEDLETSKY may have said sorry, but they did nothing to fix their spam. However, I was generous enough to only make it two weeks. Hopefully on their return they do not force a permanent relocation.

So, I am sorry for my activity. If you wish to contact me, email or pm me here. Better yet, contact me on discord or on skype. The guys and gals around here can help you find me.

With that said, let us have cake.

Off-Topics / Sub Rosa
« on: June 23, 2017, 04:06:35 AM »
Sub Rosa is a Early Access game available on Steam and its own site. It's main plot is centered around five companies in a city, Sub Rosa. When you spawn you are unemployed and can either start a company (If it has no members), become the CEO of one (If CEO dies and there are members/you start the company), or join a company. The goal is to become as rich as possible really, trading floppy disk of various color and value. You might chase a limo and kill the people inside and acquire a disk you need, or clear a building for one.

Or maybe you'll do a deal with guns and take the money and the disk you need.

It's a fun game when people actually play it. However, thanks to some Brazilian YouTubers showing it to young kids...The game is often filled with minges (trolls). These people go around killing everyone that isn't them and try to ruin the game. We simply refer to them as "BRs."

I've recently uploaded a few videos on my channel, and plan on doing more. The second is quite long, but uncut as we were posing as two guys from Discovery Channel. For those of you who don't know already, my channel can be found at the link provided below. There is old GSIII content, some IL-2 1946, and some cancerous videos made as a joke.

Off-Topics / Serious Roleplay
« on: May 31, 2017, 04:30:33 AM »
Has anyone ever done it? I have spent a large amount of time doing serious roleplay. On Garry's Mod, the majority of it was Half-Life 2 Roleplay (HL2RP) (More specifically, Clockwork gamemode if anyone relates). Very entertaining if one caught on and got into it with enough time.

I've also done some with friends on applications like Skype or even Steam chats. Garry's Mod was better as you could visibly interact and such, but text based allows a large imaginative freedom without the boundaries of a virtual map and such.

I'm mainly interested to see if anyone else has done it or is interested. Currently, I've been looking for some peeps for a Star Wars RP as I've kinda gotten into the whole Star Wars universe again lately. If you're interested, let me know and we can discuss it. It's fun to do when bored, and you can create a largely in-depth story with a character you made and developed purely from your imagination.

News / Addressing some issues
« on: January 02, 2017, 07:33:29 AM »
Issue number one:

Post count means NOTHING except how many post you have made. Being a Hero Member grants you NOTHING but a set of two words. No special benefits, no newfound respect, no special request to the developers..It is just a forum title that is pretty much pointless.

Issue number two:

Ok, we get it, some members are annoying to you. That doesn't mean get all your buddies and start shaming them on every thread they post in. Ignore them! Simple as that. If it breaks a rule, report it. However, if you break a rule in response to them doing something against the rules, you will be punished too! Just report it with the handy dandy report feature and give an accurate report reason and it will be taken care of.

Issue number three:

Enough with the hostility to Allied Ace Leader. It ends now. I'm gonna start removing post and taking names and if I see anymore rule-breaking post after this there will be proper punishment. It has gone on long enough. I personally thought it would go off and you guys would cut it out like mature people. However, it is obvious that is not the case. Do not push your luck. This is starting to become harassment and it will NO LONGER BE TOLERATED.

Issue number four:

In regard to issue number three, if you are doing something people don't like (AKA making many useless post) then try to either stop doing it or lessen it. Obviously if a lot of people are getting angry then it isn't them, it is you. So please, be responsible for your actions and make proper changes when confronted with a majority. This will not only benefit the majority, it will benefit you.

Off-Topics / Member rank and post count
« on: December 31, 2016, 01:00:35 AM »
The whole ranking system on the forum gives you no benefits. Being a "Hero Member" is no different than being a freshly registered with no post. These titles do not give special powers, permissions, or privileges of any kind. These titles are purely astetic.
The only purpose is to show the different levels of activity among forum members.

So with this in mind, please do not spam post in order to get a higher post count. The only thing you'll be doing is changing a pointless number and working you way up to a ban.

Phrases like
Many single
Instead of one, single, cohesive post. It's quite annoying and is spam.

Off-Topics / Community Timeline (WIP)
« on: December 09, 2016, 04:00:53 AM »
This is now a personal project of mine. This will be a timeline from the beginning of the first forum to the present and beyond, with major events included. It will be expanded over time to be as detailed as possible. Older members will find nostalgia, and newer ones will become familiar with the past 'lore', should it be called. Enjoy!

If older members have events with dates, I will include them. However, gathering information is extremely limited right now as the first forum is...Hidden to say.
Contact me in a private message with questions, comments, or concerns.

Note: Names mentioned in here are for historical purposes. This is not meant to be of insult to anyone. As stated above, this covers major events. If requested names will be censored out.

October 26th, 2013: First community forum,, is created.

It is resolved after the lead staff member Warwolf/Warbird (now known as Matt Wheeler) solves the issue by replacing the squadron with a saved copy. It is around this time certain members begin to become problematic. This would include the squadron's CO, ReApEr. The problems lead to great tension.

September 23rd, 2014: The CO of the 421st is officially banned. Events leading to, during, and after are heavily tense. The squadron is put into pure disarray. It will recover, but will not be the same as it is heavily watched.

October 5th, 2014: The Trident Event ends. Major TRIDENT is stripped of privileges and banned forever, their event having been confirmed by police to be a hoax. Staff team and members on edge.

December 31st, 2014: The staff team is informed by Admin that a new forum is in place. The staff team registers early and keeps the secret. The forum is located at "".

January 31st, 2015: is announced to the community. Proboards forum is virtually abandoned and all boards hidden from public view. Staff still has access. The community agrees as a whole that the new forum is not as good.

March 29th, 2015: The Wings of Duty forum is created. By this point, many senior members have left including staff. Private messages on the proboards forum may have suffered around this point, most notably the Dogfight Sunday series.

To add:
-Game releases
-Dogfight Sunday series
-Staff list, including former
-Ghost hunts and other ventures led by Professor/Doctor/Uncle Kibbles and gang
-Lots of information and details

Off-Topics / Bug report/Suggestion formats?
« on: August 26, 2016, 07:29:24 PM »
I have been considering making a format system, especially for reporting issues with the games. Almost everytime a bug report is made, there is little information provided than the actual issue itself. If more information was provided, then development could probably be sped up a tad bit.

Here is a simple example for bug reports:

(Title should be what the issue is, nothing more.)

What kind of issue is it? (Graphical, gameplay, GUI, menu, marketing, etc,.):
Describe the issue in detail, including what you were doing when it occured:
Does it occur multiple times? If so, detail how often:
Can it be recreated? If so, explain:

Game version:
Device OS and version:

What are your opinions? If I were to do this, I'd manage the system as often as I can. If this system is not followed, I'd ask the creator to simply use the format and would lock the thread until it is doone so to prevent useless reports, or something similar.

News / Important Message
« on: July 25, 2016, 04:41:20 PM »
Alright guys, so I probably just spent 20 minutes fixing the "Funny pics/memes/jokes thread. Have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. Why? Well let me lay it out for those of you who don't know what happened.

Someone decides to make a post with a video. Correction, at least 30+ videos. Each video is 10 hours long of the Nyan Cat.
The problem is two things. One, that counts as spam. Two, it kills the thread.

Then, someone quotes the thread and basically makes it 60+ ten hour videos of Nyan Cat. At that point almost everyone attempting to view the thread probably would not be able to. They'd suffer loading problems and nothing would load, and on a computer the window of their browser would become unresponsive.

Here's the point of this thread:

If I need to explicitly state every single rule, I will. I was hoping you guys could think "Maybe this isn't right" or at least ask at times.
Second, the quoting. If it's a post you KNOW is improper, or shouldn't be there, DO NOT QUOTE IT. You become a part of the issue by spreading it more and making moderation more difficult.

If it is something completely stupid, and you know people won't like it then do NOT do it. If it is something wrong, REPORT it and do NOT spread it by quoting it.

You two know who you are. I hate making this thread but I feel like it is needed. Consider this a warning.

I apologize for any discomfort or hurt feelings from this thread. Replies are open for discussion on a reasonable level. If need be, vent privately.

Luftwaffe / Kampfgeschwader 53
« on: April 30, 2016, 01:13:58 AM »
Kampfgeschwader 53 "Legion Condor" (Condor Legion in English) was a Luftwaffe bomber wing that operated on all of the fronts in the European Theatre until it was disbanded in May 1945. It operated the three major German bomber types: Dornier Do 17, Heinkel He 111, and Junkers Ju 88.

We will start with the Battle of Britain when released, of course. If more bombers besides the He 111's are added I will allow people to select them. For now everyone will use He 111's.

We will fly in a Kette Formation, basically a V-Shape.

1st Staffel:

1.) Major Kibbles
2.) Hauptmann Lazy Eye
3.) Hauptmann WarWolf
4.) Hauptmann Hey Bro
5.) Hauptmann Focke_Wolf
6.) Hauptmann
