PERFECT IDEA

Game starts in 1946 after Nuremberg Trials. You have US, Commonwealth, and USSR. You will react to incidents in history the way you choose, but going down the war path has a negative side unless it's just (we don't want to nuke each other the first turn. You'll choose what to do in Korea, Vietnam, etc.

You can also create conflicts, like Russia moving troops to places the UN wouldn't want them to move them too, or Russia making flights over Europe and near the US.

Anyone likey?
Seems nice, would neutral nations be allowed?
*finland I choose you*

I have the same Birthday as Vladmir Lenin and Jack Nicholson

I hate Communists(Totally not meant to be ironic).

I hate when people begin listing facts about themselves on the Internet.

I hate commies too!

*Having to explain that Finland isn't communist to far-right people at my school who hate everybody who isn't extremely far-right*
Having to explain to Far-Left people that Nazism is the embodiment of the Fat-Left
Not quite sure what the Fat-Left is but ok---
Feminists.
Although I hate 3rd wave feminism "omg omg women are superior insert more derogatory statements here", if you go by *actual* feminism, which states that men and women are equal, I belive in it
I think it should have a r instead of a t, though

Since this thread is probably going to become a political debate soon

A few more things that I didn't list:
I am an athiest which is apparently the least trusted group in America currently for no apparent reason
I counted how many people got mad at me for not saying "under god" in the pledge...
Over half the school did and for privacy reasons, I shall not list the exact number
According to outeide observers, I have no emotions.
I am about the only centrist in my school when everyone else is either far-left or far-right winged.
I hate pennies.
Actually people say Muslims are the most untrusted group in the US
At least you stand and say it
I'm pretty sure almost every has emotions
good for you
WHY DO YOU HATE PENNIES?!?!?!?!?
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/religion/story/2011-12-10/religion-atheism/51777612/1
Can't seem to find the study that says it

Ok halfway through writing this, it turns out I misred the study, and thus interpeted it as saying that Athiests are the least trusted group in America.
Sorry.

I am an idiot.
While I have nothing against patriots that don't push their views on others, people who are like "omg unamerican unpatriotic idiot go die" make me want to show them a few points which I will not list here
I have insomnia.
As stated above, I'm pretty anti-patriotic to an extent, the reason I have the Finnish flag as my profile picture is becuase I find it wierd when I don't have one uploaded, and the Finnish flag as my picture seems to be a good representation that I am Finnish-American
In day-to-day activities, I may as well be mute judging from how much I talk irl

Guys a question:

Started playing war thunder last week.

I just lost about 20k of silver lions because i had a joystick connection problem.
Hotas X was connected, everything selected as it should be but each time i entered a battle throttle was at 55 and the rest of controls not active so i had to return to the hangar a few times.

Any way to restore my lost lions and... how to check if a joystick is properly connected before joining a battle.
I don't know if a way to restore SL exists other than grinding or buying them back via GE.
May have to take a look at the settings
Or alternatively do a test flight before each battle (Hover over vehicle, right click (may have  been left click if it's already selected) to se  if it acts up then.

Play SB with a joystick and witness the emptiness... and difficulty to control planes like the 109 and Hien, both of which don't have nice trim available.

I'd play WT because I can actually afford it for the amount of features it has and the amount of fun I've had on it compared to WoD. In all honesty, the fact it has a squad system and a friend system puts it higher on my list of favorite games since I have friends (on and not on this forum) that I can play with whenever they're on.

Now... turn off all Instructor settings, get a ThrustMaster or something for like $10 off of eBay, and take out a Toryu. I've seen people do amazing things in SB - little computer interference. Just you, joystick, your plane. Fighting your plane (some planes like to roll left, some like to dip down...) while fighting the enemy takes a lot of practice to win..!

Thanks for sharing your opinion! :)

P.S... Don't play arcade, it's not as fun as RB, or for people that like hardcore sim... it's not as fun as SB or IL-2 1946 :p

I LOVE IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. Unfortunately, I made too many full missions in the builder, and eventually the game became unrunnable. :/
I'll reinstall it soon, best game I ever got (I love FSX too).
The reason I like War Thunder is because of the massive amount of vehicles and the ability to create "scenarios" which has  helped on the Kearth "project" some
One thing about it is the large-ish minority of the playerbase that:
Teamkills you if you don't speak perfect English or Russian
Is racist
After killing you, say "hah you noob go die" whilst misspelling everything, then complaining about one grammar mistake I made due to being shot at.
"oh level 23 you're stupid im a level 20000 git gud you nububub" whilst being serious
*I have a small Finnish Air Force roundel on my tank* *gets teamkilled due to it*
*teamkills me* "lol noob fite me 1v1" and being serious
"oh I see you like this tank I'll call you an idiot for your opinion"
"play with me idiot we're friends you *insert random profane word*"
*dies to tank that I have no hope escaping from or killing* "lol noob"

Overall it's a good game other than said minority and the bugs

I own it.

I played the Donald Trump mod and gained world supremacy over Iran, Iraq, Israel (DON'T KILL ME STORM.) and Turkey.

I have ALL THE OIL now.

However, I uninstalled it to make room for War Thunder, WoWS, and Steel Ocean, but I'll see what I can do.

*reads*

The US would never be able to invade Israel! Israel has one of the most combat proven militaries in the world, one of the best Special Forces IN THE WORLD (plus a nuclear arsenal of unknown size). We don't have an aircraft carrier yet, but who knows. Anyway, if America invaded Israel, well, bad things would happen. Of course, the UN wouldn't do jack****, but it's the UN, they don't do anything anyway. AND NEXT TIME LEAVE US OUT OF IT!

I have always loved games like Heart of Iron IV, and it's on my list of games to play in the future.
It's pretty fun

*silently sits in the corner thinking about world domination*
According to Steam, I've played it for over 900 hours.
I can't do anything without thinking about invading stuff and logistics of operations and stuff.

I need help.
next time play as Ethiopia or Liberia and give them a bunch of resources and take over British Africa and then take over Britain itself

So today we got back from break, and me, being the smartest person in the "Adventures in Social Studies" class (yes, including my teacher), am annoyed because of my knowledge with history. Anyway, one of the people in my class, Dominic, particularly loves to annoy me. Anyway, everyone's saying what they did over break, and he said, and I quote, "I spent the week writing fanfics about me and (my name)." After the laughter died down, he said, "We got married in Ireland." To which I responded, "Well what the hell is in Ireland?" (no offense to the Irish, you have great accents :D). He responded with, "I don't know, it sounded romantic." To which I responded with a very blank expression, wondering what the hell is going through his head. Then I said, "I wonder if I'll apply for the mental asylum at 17 or 18..." The first thing the girl behind me said was, "Wtf is an asylum?"

I swear I'm going to lose my f**king mind before I graduate from this God forbidden school.

Oh, and PS: Most of my 8th grade US History class didn't know who won the Civil War when the year ended, most of them learned this year.

Also, recently we watched "Glory" a movie about an all black regiment in the Civil War. Once the movie ended, someone literally asked, "Were they fighting for the Union or Confederacy?"

My life is full of facepalm moments.
Yeah we watched Glory earlier this year
When *name removed because spoilers* got shot, the guy behind me said

"Wait, he died? Oh no!"
I couldn't look at him without wondering how he got into this school.

EDIT:
After we watched it we could write about it or do actual projects about it.
One guy did a recreation of a battle and had the ripped-off version (the cross version) for the Confeds (look up modern confederate flag to see it) and the union had the first confederate flag (look up first confederate flag/ stars and bars).
I joked to my teacher, because he's pretty "chill" and we're on good terms:
"What, did they have a civil war in one faction of another civil war? What would they call it, the confederate civil war or something?"

Since this thread has been revived I'll just post some stuff that goes with the thread

Essentially all my older posts
How I thought I was smart then
The eventual "yeah we speak american"
"Wait, isn't Finland in Asia?" Somehow I was asked that
"The North is always better" Wait so North Korea is better than South Korea? Got it glorious comrade Kim Jong Un. Anything you say comrade.
One guy accidentally said that the attack on PH happened in 1942. He quickly realised his mistake, and I assume it was just hitting the wrong key, but if somebody actually belived such a thing it'd be facepalm-worthy
Almost everything I did before early 8th grade
"Why do you have headphones in?" This bugs me so much, when somebody acknowledges that you have headphones in and they are not in a position of authority and we are allowed to use headphones and uses that knowledge to ask why I have given the signal for "don't bloody talk to me" yet they talk to me anyways. An asking of this question will almost always get an angry stare in response.
