Just snapped a lot of bots out of existence. I thought it was a lot worse but like, there was... A lot less spam than I had anticipated.

Also, hi.

Off-Topics / Re: This ad on this specific thread...
« on: August 28, 2018, 04:17:01 PM »
That's a very serious problem...Is there a way to control what adds the admins want?

Note that ads go off your frequent search history or anything related to them. I'm not accusing or suggesting that someone's been searching the wrong stuff- sometimes frequent spam gets thrown in to try and entice people. Google manages the ads you see on the forums.

If there is an ad you do NOT wish to see again, click the [X] and then "don't show this ad again" and give an appropriate response. Chances are it'll stay away.

Off-Topics / Re: Waffen SS (Debate Thread)

I apologize@ThePhoenix, but this thread became more of a debate one than a squadron. Please recreate a more proper and detailed squadron back in the squadron section.

Next, this is by far the most propaganda-bent argument I've ever seen so far in my time on the internet besides few others. You even mentioned a newspaper to cite a "holy war" led by the Jewish citizens against Germany. That was uh, blatant propaganda.

Off-Topics / Re: List of all forum memes

This is a meme.

Also, let me just say the following:

If you have a problem with something the developers did, just make ONE (1) thread in a polite manner. I don't need to throw out another weak ban because of blatant spamming and toxicity.

Free Discussions / Re: Why I deleted Wings of Duty

This is a very important thread, and it is quite sad to have seen it get so derailed. Apologies for not cleaning it up sooner-- It'd be nice if someone had reported it when it first got derailed.

Yes, even I myself had become fairly... Tired, of Wings of Duty. Not the entirety of the company's work-- The Vietnam and Korea games are by fair better in my opinion. What they tried to do with WoD has been entirely different than what they did with the previous games. Korea was a test bed for the new engine and some mechanics, but those have long been heavily overshadowed in WoD by... Well, entirely different mechanics.

Most, if not all, opinions here are very thought out and detailed. That is something that should be viewed by the proper audience. Further discussion may continue, but please keep it on topic. This thread is important.

Bug Report / Re: 2 to 4-second lag in all arenas makes WOD unplayable

For future reference:

You only need to post one thread to report an issue. Duplicate post/threads will be removed.

Also, I'm the only active moderator besides the forum owner account. I answer PMs that are of reason. Don't assume things.

Also, you guys state it's "childish" yet... Explain to me how this whole mess is mature on either side?

You’re welcome to share your thoughts here on the forum about Wings of Duty and any  other Gunship game.
You are not welcome to annoying people by refusing to communicate appropriately. You are being annoying. We would like you to stop.simple as that. I’m just going to keep reporting you until you do foxy. There is no reason why you have to do this.
I encourage everyone else to report these illiterate posts aswell since they are intentionally being difficult and at this point just a nuisance.
Just report him.

Right! Let me just has a quick stroll into this thread. Time to point out some basic facts!

Firstly, Foxy(355th)LDR has not broken a single rule by typing the way he does. Please correct me if you find such a rule he's broken.

Secondly, you just violated the following rules: * No posting about others without their permission    * No "naming and shaming"

I could add a third but I'll excuse that one.

Thirdly, how is a few words of text being that big of a nuisance? If you do not like something that falls well within written rules, then either ignore it or politely request a rule submission. That, or adapt to it. Can't understand him? Politely ask that he post in a more common format.

Spamming me with future reports that have no solid reason will result in the addition of previously excluded rule violation.

When did this thread's topic turn into "Foxy(355th)LDR Discussion :D" from the original topic?
Oh, maybe it turned into "Pirate dialect discussion, arr" instead?
Hey, I know what it is! It hasn't changed at all...

You guys are just off-topic again!

Included with the minor roast-warning is a free topic reminder!

Get back on the original topic. Please.

Do it or walk the plank, arr!

Disclaimer: The following was all done in good humor besides the minor annoyances associated with a few things. It's merely a kind request to get back on topic. Please don't reply directly to this post as such response would be off-topic! Send me a private message. Loves.

News / Re: Tanks for WOD work in progress
« on: December 07, 2017, 08:47:37 PM »
I hope I don't have to remove 26 post in one thread again.
All post following this one should be on the proper topic of the thread.

Otherwise, I'll implement posting bans so you can watch everyone else post on the forum. Maybe you'll learn how to stay on topic then. Oh, and the thread will be locked if derailed again.

Religion-Related discussion had zero point here. Like, honestly. This is about an update implementing tanks for a video game.

News / A Brief Q&A of Development and Phanotek
« on: November 26, 2017, 07:58:57 PM »
Roughly two days ago, I sent the developer quite the email. As with every in-progress game that has a player base, players here have always sought for more answers and transparency. While Wings of Duty is the most recent of concern, many users still wonder about when the older games will return and the likes. Hopefully this provides you all with a bit of clarity in those matters. I know a certain few people who will be looking forward to the upcoming years!

Recently me and some of the more senior community members were discussing some things regarding the forums and the Phanotek games. I can't recall who first brought it up, but we started talking about way back when Gunship III first came around and all those memories.

At some point my curiosity was driven, and I couldn't help but take a look at a more recent Q&A thread for Wings of Duty, and it provided quite a bit of information people were glad to see. However, why not learn about the rest of your work?

I know there are a lot of members that'd enjoy learning more details about the company, their projects, and more about yourself. Especially us older users, the few of us who have managed to stick around since 2013-- Four years.

Thanks for being with the game from the beginning. The company started in 2011 with the first helicopter combat game “Gunship3D", you still could find many videos of Gunship3D from the internet. At the time, the company name is Phanovatives. Gunship3D later involved to Gunship-II in 2012 and later Gunship-III and Gunship-III multiplayer in 2013. Until 2013, our capability is still very limited, the UI of Gunship-III is very primitive and basic, even though the  game physics is more advanced.

We started Wings Of Duty: WW2 at the end of 2014, with a goal of developing a more long-term product in order to secure our financial future. In 2015, Phanovatives became Phanotek Inc. The plan is developing Wings Of Duty to become a platform for all future products.

It's been asked before but never really happened in the past, but would you be up to it? Perhaps even a verbal session as well in a discord channel, or perhaps some kind of office tour or something of the sort with your team. I think the community would love to see some more transparency with how you do things.

It’s hard for us to do that since currently, we are still having very limited resources, especially time; however, that could change in 2018, we will allocate some resources to build the main Phanotek website, website, and will integrate the forum to become more attractive and informative. We are also planning expand the company, and will have more resources for provide on more transparency into our works.

Oh, and of course there are still many questions on when the Vietnam, Korea, and other era series games will come about. I know me and the senior members are interested heavily in Vietnam and Korea-- We practically watched them evolve into what they are now, and what they could be in the future based off Wings of Duty.

In 2018, you will see the new Korea II game developed from the Wings Of Duty platform. From 2019-2020, WOD Modern Jet will come out with more advanced graphics and gameplay together with reintroducing Gunship IV on the new game platform. 2018, WOD:WW2 will have new maps, tanks and battleships.

Now, I'll be honest and say I haven't really touched Wings of Duty of the older games in awhile myself. My trusty IPad 2 finally can't reliably handle the latest versions of WoD-- And we thought Korea would have been the stopping point! I plan to work something out to better help with things. The other senior members seem to not really be interested in WoD, and for numerous reasons I'd hope to discuss with you on a separate note. I guess we preferred the 'older days!’

Thanks for being with us and being very supportive, Phanotek is a very young and small company which still has many room to growth. You will see improvements in product quality and contents  while still maintains it core original quality which is advanced simulation air combat on mobile device.

Founder and CEO of Phanotek Inc.

For those of you who'd have comments or questions for the developer, please direct to them to my private inbox on the forum or my email. This way they can be neatly organized and answered within free time.

Otherwise, keep a civil discussion here! Let's keep it clean.

Side note: The members I've mostly been referencing are those that haveve stuck around since the early versions of Gunship III Vietnam and even Gunship II. I've discussed things with them before the discussion shown here, hence why further discussing may take place. Stay tuned!

Let me remind you all:

Replying to a post, that is CLEARLY violating a rule or rules, with "+1" will put you on high consideration for joining the original offender with the same punishment.
Given the fact you are SUPPORTING a rule violation and not REPORTING it...I am inclined to believe you are fully associating yourself with such negative actions and do not care for the rules or other users on this forum.

Kiowa, since you are the perfect example here, I sincerely hope you do not do this again. Otherwise, you can join Legendary with a week ban.

This petty attacking, harassment, and general drama/flaming will stop. It's getting annoying for many users here, and is not needed in the slightest.

Now, let's stay on the topic of this thread.
